British Comedian and TV Star Paul O'Grady is Dead

Entertainer Paul O'Grady, who rose to fame before becoming a popular comedian and presenter on British television, has died. He was 67 years old.

The British queen, who worked with O'Grady to support animal welfare organizations, paid tribute to the artist who emerged from the alternative gay comedy scene to become a national .


Borne in 1955 in Birkenhead, near Liverpool's, O'Grady was working as a community caretaker when he began performing as Savage, a sharp-tongued drag queen from Liverpool's..


He latterly hosted talk shows and game shows as PaulO'Grady, including" The PaulO'Grady Show,"" Eyeless Date" and" Blankety Blank," as well as a long-  handling program on BBC radio.

 
An animal lover, he also presented the program "For the Love of Dogs," which featured the work of Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, an animal rescue organization. Last year, Camilla, the Queen's consort, was a guest on the program.


The official Twitter account of the royal family posted a picture of O'Grady and Camilla with the message, "We are deeply saddened by the death of Paul O'Grady, who was closely associated with Her Majesty in support of @Battersea_ and provided much laughter and many tail-wagging memories."

British television network ITV has announced the program changes caused by the death of popular British presenter and comedian Paul O'Grady.


On March 29 at 5 p.m. At UK time, "Paul O'Grady's For the Love of Dogs: A Royal Special" is repeated on ITV1, replacing the repeat of "The Chase.

On April 9 at 8 p.m. British time, ITV will air "For the Love of Paul O'Grady" on ITV1 as a tribute to the late comedian.


On April 13 at 8:30 p.m., the new season of "Paul O'Grady: For the Love of Dogs" will air as scheduled on ITV1.
